Adopt-A-Highway Group of the Year for Laurens County

The Laurens County Water and Sewer Commission (LCWSC) received the Adopt-A-Highway Group of the Year for Laurens County in a ceremony held in Columbia on April 9th. There are 50 Adopt-A-Highway teams in Laurens County. A total of 280,000 pounds of trash covering 85 miles of roadway was picked up in Laurens County in 2008. The LCWSC has been a part of the program since 2005 and encourages other business and Public Utilities to consider adopting a stretch of highway near their place of business or home.
