Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of
Mountville Road Phase 2 Waterline Extension will be received by LCWSC (Laurens County Water and Sewer Commission-herein called the Owner) in the Commissioner’s Boardroom at the office of
LCWSC, 3850 US Highway 221, Laurens, South Carolina 29360 until
2 p.m. local time on
Thursday, November 19th,
2009, at which time and place all BIDS will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after the time and date specified will not be considered. No Bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of bid opening.
The Mountville Road Waterline Extension Project consists of the installation of approximately 5345 linear feet of 4-inch PVC waterline, 5085 linear feet of 3-inch PVC waterline, valves, fittings, blow-offs, and all other related appurtenances. The project will also include connecting approximately 13 residences to the new waterlines which will entail service taps and meter assemblies, service lines, and plumbing connections at each residence.
Any contract or contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids will be funded in part by a grant from the Federal Community Development Block Grant Program administered by the SC Department of Commerce, Division of Grants Administration. All contractors must follow Federal Procurement and Employment Regulations.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2 p.m. local time on Wednesday, October 28th, 2009, at the offices of the LCWSC. Bidders’ attendance at the conference is considered mandatory and is required in order to be eligible to submit a bid for this Project.
Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Carolina Engineering Service, Inc. (herein called the Engineer), located at 428 Grace St., Greenwood, South Carolina 29649, 862-229-6256, upon payment of $100.00 (non-refundable) for each set. In addition, a set of Contract Documents may be viewed at the Carolinas AGC Plan Room in Greenville, South Carolina, McGraw Hill Construction Plan Room in Greenville, South Carolina, and Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas (HCAC) Plan Room, Greenville, South Carolina.
